We are so excited to announce our new lead vocalist fronting Boogie Shoes, Angie Bemus!! Angie has been performing in the Western NY area for decades wowing crowds with her soaring stellar vocals! Angie started performing at the age of 7, completing over 1200 concerts by high school graduation! She toured for years with a song and dance company, American Entertainment Productions, on stages at many theme parks and on cruise ships where she opened for people like Barbara Eden, the Hager Twins, Minnie Pearl and John Denver to name a few. She performed recently with 5 big bands in Canada and NY! Angie has a listing in Who's Who in music and has won many awards at vocal competitions. When not on the stage with Boogie Shoes, you can see her around town performing with the 9 piece band Covers Exposed, the Greater Finger Lakes Jazz Orchestra, in a duo with Mike Ciranni and many other great bands! She LOVEs to Boogie, dance and bring a smile and positve vibes that lights up the stage and entire audience! Come check out the lovely and very talented Angie with Boogie Shoes!!
JAY
VOCALS
We are thrilled to introduce you to Jay, a leading vocalist for
Boogie Shoes! He has a stellar range with immense strength that
allows him to cover from Tenor to Soprano with great passion!! Jay prefers to keep things simple: good vibes, smooth grooves, and the occasional questionable dance move that will make you smile:). He’s been singing for a while, somewhere between the ’70s and last Tuesday. No glitter required —unless the mood strikes. Jay has starred in numerous lead vocal and acting roles for theatrical productions throughout NY, FL and other various states! Jay's voice is the secret sauce in Boogie Shoes cadre of talented vocalist and has been a staple of the band since it's inception. Jay wows audiences whenever he sings and we are so thankful and fortunate to have him sing with Boogie Shoes. Jay loves to Boogie, and has the heart and soul to cover this material as it was intended. If you have not heard Jay sing with us yet, you need to hear his amazing voice soon!!!
Dave
VOCALS
Dave loves to throw the boogie down with his powerful soulful vocals, excellent rapping chops, his energy and love of dance! His production company has served countless weddings and he is a routine guest member of other popular bands in NY (Atlas, United Booty Foundation and others)! Dave has opened up for K7 and has danced with Evelyn Champagne King,(Shame). When the music starts, Dave will sing..and dance.. and there will be no wonder why his nickname of Dancing Dave from back in the day was so fitting:)
Keith
Guitar/vocals
Our founding member of Boogie Shoes, Keith, was also a founding member and toured with Groovalicious, Washington DC's and the Mid Atlantic's Premier Disco Tribute Band. Since KC has moved back to Upstate NY, he has played with Uptown Groove, Nik and The Nice Guy Members, Fritz's Polka Band and members of Lynard Skynard. In the DC area, Keith played with many Regional, national artists(Steve Lauri/Hollies, Pete Evick/Brett Michaels), many bands(Modern Vintage, One Trick Pony, 42 Years Later, Goodfellas, etc,) and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers at large venues(Fed Ex Stadium, Tarara Winery Concert, Lake Fairfax Park, Tally Ho Theatre, etc.). Keith sang Tenor with Choirs for decades and recently spent 4 years with the FLX Chorale. Keith also loves to dance and Boogie and won Star Search’s dance category with rights to represent CNY! Saxophone
Joe is a founding member of Boogie Shoes and is an outstanding saxophone player for the band!! Joe is an incredibly multi skilled musician and plays various woodwind instruments, guitar, bass, and percussion! Just prior to joining Boogie Shoes, Joe played Saxophone for an exemplary Chicago Tribute Band playing at many great venues and stages in The Finger Lakes area. He has played with many other great bands and led a duo for a number of years! Joe currently is the Middle School Band Conductor at Mid Lakes High school in NY. The marching band has been joined by the Rochester Brass Quintet as well as other professional musicians, conductors and composers, and Midlakes faculty and school members for performances! Joe’s stellar playing and sweet solos in Boogie Shoes keep everyone on their feet and dancing!
Kevin

Kevin is an outstanding soulful and groovy player that has played with SO many greats! Kevin played with The Official Blues Brothers Revue (Dan Aykroyd & the Belushi families Band), The Temptations, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Peter Noon of Hermans Hermits, Pete Best ex-drummer of the Beatles, The Untouchables Toronto, Ont. Canada (touring Europe and Asia), Opening Day at the New York Yankees Stadium – The Skycoasters, Midnite Hour Productions Toronto, Ont. Canada, Brass Taxi Rochester, NY, Super Bowl parties – Nik & The Nice Guys, The Skycoasters Rochester, NY., Carnival Cruise Lines: The Holiday, The Inspiration etc…He has opened up for Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Beach Boys, Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, K.C. & The Sunshine Band etc… His Studio experience includes Lou Gramm Studios, Commercial radio & T.V. Jingles ….Doan Delivers, Breakfast Television T.V. Show Toronto Ont. Canada, etc. When not with Boogie Shoes, he currently also plays with The 6 feet apart Band! Kevin studied at Humber College of Music Toronto, Ont. Canada. Additionally, Kevin has drum and bugle experience with the Oakland Crusaders, Toronto, Ontario Canada, Blue Stars, Lacrosse Wisconsin. The Bridgemen Bayonne NJ, and Dutch Boy Kitchener, Ont. Canada. Kevin has the super chops, loads of impressive experience and passion to throw down the Boogie with Boogie Shoes!! We are so happy to have him, come see him in action!!
Brian
Trombone
"Brian is Boogie Shoes superb low brass player on Trombone! In addition to Trombone, Brian plays Flutes, Whistles, Guitar, assorted Brass and sings! Just prior to joining Boogie Shoes, Brian played Trombone for an exemplary Chicago Tribute Band playing in many great venues and stages in The Finger Lakes areas, and played in many other great WNY bands for a number of years! Brian currently plays with the Tullamore Celtic Band. Brian has a Masters of Education and Performance from the University of Buffalo and a BME from Baldwin Wallace University in Instrumental Music Education and Performance. Brian has served as a Director of Instrumental music at Aquinas Institute, a Music Educator at Honeye Falls Lima School District, Low Brass performer at Genesee Valley Band, and has been a freelance musician and private educator for decades specializing in low brass, flute and keyboards. Brian brings that special Trombone sound with some very cool solos on many songs! Catch Brian’s awesome playing in Boogie Shoes!"
